As a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, in the State of New York, I have observed that, all too often, the biggest hindrance and/ or obstacle, to selling a house, is when homeowners have unrealistic expectations. This includes: understanding the realities of the present market; properly perceiving the condition of your home (especially compared to the competition); being overly optimistic regarding pricing; believing you are the expert, and refusing to listen to unbiased professionals; etc. Therefore, every homeowner should ask himself if he is ready and willing, to be REALISTIC.Original Article
